dry your eyes, sunday girl.

This is what I wore to the Kriss Soonik event I mentioned on my previous post, I was initially inspired by Shini and Elise's use of shirts as skirts, but I thought I'd put my own little something on it by using one of my cardigans. What do you think? Are you inspired by other bloggers, or do you hope to inspire others? I hope I have inspired at least one person in one way or another, that would be quite lovely.

I'm off to my local charity shops (fifty pence rail, here I come!) and Battersea car boot sale now (I must be one of the only bloggers in London not attending the yard sale, hehe), I've been going to Battersea car boot sale regularly for a couple of years and it's pretty good, I recommend you pop by one Sunday! Love, Jazzabelle P.S. A quick hello to all of my new followers, plus a big thank-you to everyone who reads and comments and follows my blog! P.P.S. Back to school/college/uni soon, is anyone else starting to get a little nervous?

  1. How I wish that I could find great and cheap pieces like you in fairs of charity markets. But not that much in here. You have such a personal cool style that improved a lot from your first post!:) Kiss ya!

  3. You look amazing in these photos - I particularly like the last one, you look positively radiant when you smile :)

Love this whole outfit - gorgeous. I've mentioned how much I like the lace blazer before. That scarf is just perfect. I want it! Can't believe it only cost 25p - crazy, honestly!
I'm intrigued by the wearing a cardigan as a skirt thing..it's not something I've seen before. Don't think I could pull it off (my cardis prob wouldn't even do up over my hips!), but you look great. It's a really good look on you :)

Thanks for your comment on my last post - lovely to hear from you :) I'm looking forward to my blog sale too! It's just been a pain the ass to get organised. Well, it's me that's the problem - I'm finding it hard to get myself into gear to do it, even though I'm really excited & WANT to do it.. Ah I dunno.

Oh & btw, I'm back to school next week (1st September) - I'm nervous, kinda dreading it.. & I'm staff. Oops! :)

  4. That's a great idea to use a Cardigan as a skirt! I say this everytime I read a
Blogger writing about a car boot sale but I really need to get myself to a car boot!

  5. wow that cardigan makes such a cool skirt, going to have to see what I can improvise in my own wardrobe now! And I am continuously inspired by other bloggers!

  6. Is that a cardigan as a skirt? What a brilliant idea! It looks really good, the whole outfit does, I love all the different textures.
Im very jealous that it's back to school time, this is the first year of my life that I'm not going back. I was tempted to do a masters degree just so I could have an extra year! haha I never thought I'd hear myself say that when I was a kid! I don't want to get a grown up job it's all a bit scary.
I'm off to hit the charity shops now too, have a bargainy day! x

  7. Literally terrified about uni, but after months of jealousy at all your amazing charity shop finds, I'm eager to get down to London and snag some bargains of my own! The scarf is something else, I love it.

  10. my friends often double up vest tops as skirts, but this is even better! was it comfortable to wear, or were you fiddling with it a lot?

  13. Awe, you look amazing! As usual, but this is a great idea. I wish I could take cool ideas like this one from bloggers, but since I'm chubby, it's very hard to find something original that suits me ok. I always goes for the shapes and colors that I feel safe with.

I love your style! Have a great Sunday!

  19. Oh I tried this on one of my shirts, but realised my shirts are too small for my hips! Fail!

Love it being done with a cardi - soft textured skirt which is perfect for winter (and warm too!)

Btw, let me know if you wanna meet up sometime before uni/college starts. I'm actually getting very excited for the next year of uni!

  26. woo great idea, the shape of the cardi really works also i love the chunkiness of the scarf :D
i really liked your previous post, the photos of the models backstage are really interesting- i think it's weird how the organised chaos backstage contrasts with the actual show, and your pictures are so professional and polished looking.
i'm starting college in september and actually really nervous..xx

  27. I would be extremely worried about that cardigan coming apart during a particularly inappropriate time, e.g. when a pretty boy looks at you in a pub, when you drop your bag (double oops) etc etc.

I challenge you, miss, to inject a huge clash of colour in one of your outfit posts! I love your use of rustic, vintage colour palettes, it's very recognisable as your style... would be interesting to see how you'd style out of your comfort zone with a whacking great pillarbox red skirt or something similar! Just an idea, and by no means think I'm slating your style, you know I love it! :)

  32. Absolutely brilliant idea turning the sweater into a skirt! That's what they call thinking outside the box...yeah I know it's become a cliche but it really applies here! You always rock your own style that is what I like about your blog!

I was going to throw out this tacky off-the-shoulder leaoprad print top, the other day but then I remembers some bloggers wearing tops as skirts. I tied it in two knots around my hips and it was ready it go haha :)

  47. What do I think? I think it's magnificent!

I remember seeing Shini's great post with the handkerchief skirt that was really a man's shirt (I don't get to see everyone's post every day but I remember loving that one) and I even tried it with a shirt, but this is such a better idea for me. I have several cardigans I could try this trick with. That is a great idea but more than that, these photos are just fabulous. You just keep going from strength to strength, Jazmine!

In case I didn't reply: I'm here. Let's hang out! Let's go to the V&A. I hesitated to make plans with anyone as I was hoping we'd go for a longer bank holiday weekend (camping in Cornwall) but it seems too cold to sleep in a tent. Let's email, let's make a plan.

Sorry didn't mean this to be so long - just came to say I'm linking you again in my post - actually I'll link it to this post, it's divine. xo
