five happy things #4

Hello, and happy Monday!

I had planned to write this post at the weekend, but last minute Christmas shopping (this is very last minute for me!), the Strictly final (yes Joe & Katya!) and spending quality time with Rob and his family meant I barely spent a moment on my laptop. It was a pretty perfect weekend to be honest, and after a tiring and stressful couple of weeks (yet also very lovely and exciting!), it was just what I needed.

Here are five happy things goin' on in my life right now...

1. The first thing which has put a smile on my face has to be this blazer - I mean, look at it! I first spotted this beauty on many Instagram Stories during the Boden AW17 press day earlier this year. Velvet, floral, with serious William Morris vibes? I was in love! The lovely Lucy kindly sent me the blazer and matching trousers when they came into stock - I absolutely cannot wait to wear the set together very soon!

2. One big thing I haven't mentioned on here yet, is that last month I handed in my notice at work. I did so without another job lined up, however this wasn't a rash decision - I had greatly taken my financial situation into consideration, and it was the right thing to do for my happiness and health. Friday was my last day at work, which means I'm now off for Christmas! Since I left college, my job roles have always been in Retail, Social Media and Marketing, so the prospect of not having to work over the festive period makes me very happy indeed!

3. On Wednesday Rob and I will celebrate our three year anniversary. Three years! I'm going to save my soppiness for another time, but I'm so excited for a festive, romantic day out in London together. My life honestly changed for the better when I met him - he really should be in every 'five happy things' blog post, though that might get a little boring for you!

4. 'Tis the season for films, and oh have I been watching some Christmas crackers! Earlier this month, Rob, mum and I went to a Love Actually screening at The Grand. They do cinema a little differently - think unlimited popcorn, a photobooth, karaoke, confetti, and you are encouraged to shout/cheer/boo throughout the film. It was so much fun! Last Friday Rob and I also went to watch The Last Jedi - I'm quite new to Star Wars, having only properly watched them all this year, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and now totally get the Star Wars hype! I may have also watched A Christmas Prince on Netflix last week - it was cheesy and romantic in the best possible way, and I recommend you watch it immediately!

5. Following on from point #2 - in the last two weeks I have gone from no job lined up, to securing an amazing role for the new year! Everything has fallen so perfectly into place. I couldn't be happier and I'm so excited to start a new chapter in 2018.

Love Jazz xx

Thank you to Boden for gifting me the blazer!
