I actually had a brilliant day at college today; despite me feeling far from pretty and confident, I put that aside and got on with starting my final major art piece. I've called it 'Secondhand Memories', were I will be creating a fine art/textile mixed media piece exploring memories, the past, nostalgia etc. I will definately be posting some photos of my sketchbook soon, and photos of my final piece when it's complete. The above photographs show many of the materials I may be using, nearly all of them are secondhand. I just adore little bits and bobs such as buttons and brooches, don't you? I recently picked up a Mona Lisa charm, a pearl cluster brooch and the brooch with a single pearl for fifty pence each at a jumble sale (you know, the one I went to after I nearly died when a gorgeous Jaeger bag turned up at my door? Ahhhh!). Anyway, I hope you have all had a wonderful Wednesday! OH MY GOODNESS, I NEARLY HAVE A HUNDRED FOLLWERS! Thank-you all ever so much, is my life and my style really that interesting? Hahahaha. Love, Jazzabelle.

  7. Second hand is always best ;) You can imagine they have a history to them - that's why I love vintage clothes so much becuase they always have a story to tell through all the wear and tear.
