the dress i won't stop wearing

“When I think of you this is the dress I see you wearing” is a comment I’ve got used to over the last few months. I can see why… Since I bought this Morris & Co X H&M dress for £34.99 last October (snagging the last dress in my size!), I’ve probably worn it at least 35 times! Cost per wear = just under £1. Bargain.

Some people might be embarrassed by repeat wearin' outfits so frequently (or to publicly show that they do), especially those in the social media / blogosphere, but I'm quite the opposite. It makes me feel rather proud to be seen to be getting the most use out of something I paid for - and let's be honest, I feel too damn good every time I wear this dress for it to be left hanging on my clothes rail...

I tend to style it hangin’ loose or with a black belt, teamed with plimsolls at the weekend, or heeled boots at work. Recently I’ve started to nip it in at the waist using a piece of elastic (well, a leg of an old pair of tights!) to change up the shape and make it a little shorter. It washes like an absolute dream – and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. My biggest regret is not being able to track down another one in my size to store away for the future!

What's your view on repeat wearing outfits?
